Why Hype?

I know what you’re thinking: Why create Startup Hype Girl when you’re already pouring so much into building your own startup?

The truth? I can’t not do this.

Because something is missing out there for women trying to start small businesses and startups. It’s not the ideas—we’ve got plenty of those. It’s not the hustle—we’re overflowing with that, too.

It’s the hype.

It’s the voice in your corner reminding you that you’re capable. It’s the person cheering you on when you hit the scary “what if this fails?” wall. It’s the boost you need when your own lack of confidence—not your lack of talent—is the only thing in your way.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not talking about empty cheerleading. The last thing you need is someone gassing you up about an idea that isn’t workable. That’s not hype—that’s sabotage.

What I’m talking about is the kind of hype that helps you see what’s already there: your grit, your creativity, your vision. Sometimes we just need someone to remind us of it.

And let’s be real—the numbers prove there’s work to do. Research shows women receive a fraction of the funding men do. That’s not a reason to play the victim. That’s a signal. A giant, flashing arrow pointing at the gap we need to fill.

Startup Hype Girl is about filling that gap. About building each other up so we can keep building our businesses. About creating a culture where women founders don’t just survive the startup grind—we thrive in it, together.

Because if there’s one thing I know, it’s this: confidence is contagious. And so is hype.

Startup Hype Girl is here to hype you up, help you grow, and keep you moving forward.

Because you already have what it takes.
